Bambara Logistics is a family-owned freight carrier in Salt Lake City, founded and led by Mo Doucoure. We move freight for businesses across Utah and the Western U.S., with the professionalism of a company many times our size, and the accountability only an owner-led one can offer.
The founder
Meet Mo Doucoure, Founder & COO
Mo came to the United States from Mali, West Africa, and spent two decades building a career in corporate America: customer service, account management, and ultimately commercial finance, backed by a B.S. in Business. Fifteen of those years were spent in B2B commercial service: managing accounts, analyzing risk, and learning what it takes to keep business relationships healthy over the long haul.
When Mo founded Bambara Logistics, he brought that skill set with him. Most independent carriers are excellent drivers first; Mo built Bambara as a business operator first, with documented compliance, professional communication, and service standards set from the top.
Mo holds a commercial driver's license (CDL) with no restrictions, including endorsements for doubles/triples and tanker, along with a TWIC credential, the federal ID that clears drivers into ports and secure facilities. He's bilingual in English and French, and he runs the company with a simple rule: tell customers the truth, especially when something changes.
The name
Why "Bambara"
The Bambara people are at the heart of Mali's cultural and agricultural identity: a heritage of community, craftsmanship, and resilience built over centuries. Naming the company Bambara wasn't a branding exercise. It's a statement that what we're building in Utah is connected to where we come from: work done with pride, relationships treated as long-term, and a name we stand behind personally.
You'll see that heritage in our logo, and you'll feel it in how we treat the people we work with.
The operation
Honest about exactly what we are
Bambara runs a 26-foot Freightliner box truck with a hydraulic liftgate and pallet jack, moving palletized commercial freight up to 10,000 pounds. One truck, run well, with electronic logging on board, insurance certificates on request, and a clean federal safety record.
We're owner-led and growing: Mo sets the standards, stays close to every account, and is building a small team of professional drivers as recurring routes come online.
